Good morning Big Blue Nation! One day closer to the Vandy game and hopefully a long awaited SEC victory! What do you need to know for that game?!

Want an update on the BBNFirst campaign?! Check out what UK Athletics has put together about to expect for the Vandy game! Lot’s of good stuff here.

It is Hall of Fame weekend and six Wildcats will be honored at the game. They are – Keith Bogans (men’s basketball), Pat Etcheberry (track and field athlete/coach, also strength and conditioning coach), Marty Moore (football), Passion Richardson (track and field athlete/coach), Terry Shumpert (baseball) and Sarah Witten (women’s tennis). Some great Cats listed here! I still think we win it all had Keith Bogans not gotten injured during the tourney. We don’t lose to D. Wade if he’s playing! Congrats to all!

With Patrick Towles at Quarterback and the young Freshmen skill players, it’s clear this team has big play capability. They can score at any point, any where on the field. This is new for Kentucky. A Sea of Blue examines Kentucky’s possibility for explosive plays against Vandy.

Another thing that has been key to Kentucky’s success early in the season is its defense and the propensity to create turnovers. Saturday Down South looks at the Cats’ turnover margin as well as other nuggets in advance of the Vandy game!

SDS also takes Kentucky’s temperature after the Bye week in advance of the Vandy game.

Kentucky is going to see a physical Vandy team on Saturday and is preparing for that by “flying around” during practice. I assume that means running around really fast and not actually taking flight, but if Coach Stoops can make guys fly, that’d be awesome.

Kentucky is not just a basketball and football school. Volleyball has been exceptionally strong in recent years and Coach Skinner has the Cats ranked 14th Nationally! UK took on LSU in the Bayou and came out with a 2 sets to 1 victory led by Senior Lauren O’Conner with 17 kills.

Finally, we leave you with all the motivation you need to get to this weekend, care of High School football player Apollos Hester. “Regardless of the Scoreboard.”
